David Gelbaum, a "clean energy investor", who has given $380 million in donations over the last four years to the ACLU ($93.6 million), Sierra Club ($47.7 million), the Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund (IADIF) ($246.8 million) of the California Community Foundation and two other unnamed groups will slash his contributions because he is in a "highly illiquid" position. As a result, he will immediately cancel his planned $20 million contribution to the ACLU for 2010.
